After the snow putting Scotland to a stand-still, it was a relief to head to Fife with the thermometer showing 2°C outside, with blue skies and the snow still making everything look Christmassy and beautiful – the perfect day for a Scottish Winter Wedding!

Christina and her maids and sisters were getting ready in the Bridal Suite of Balbirnie House.

 Something old…

 Something new…

Meanwhile, Will enjoyed a pre-wedding pint in The Fisherman’s Tavern

Christina’s father married the couple in St Mary’s Church where he used to be the minister

As we made it through the snow and ice back to Balbirnie House, we just had time to catch the last rays of daylight.

It is not often we hear a speech opening with “On behalf of my husband and I…”

Drinking to friends absent, but there “in spirit”

After dinner, we nipped back out with the couple to grab a few extra shots.

Their first dance was Islands in the Stream, performed by the amazing Callanish

Followed by a Gay Gordons reel…

Christian and William, we had such a fantastic time at your wedding!
Thank you for braving the cold with us to get those photos in the snow and for being such a lot of fun to be with.
We loved everything about your wedding and can’t wait to show you all the rest of the photos when you are back from sunny South Africa.
Wishing you a long and happy marriage with lots of laughter and happiness.
