From the first time we met Rachel and Tom, we had a feeling theirs was going to be a stunning wedding and a lot of fun to photograph -and boy were we right!

We already knew Rachel is beautiful, but capturing her getting ready along with her (equally beautiful) maids, flowergirls and family, it felt like we could just point the camera and shoot, and the photos would look great.

Having lived in London, Rachel and Tom were keen to have a touch of London at the wedding, and what could be more symbolic of London than an old Routemaster bus, transporting the guests to and from the church?

After the service in lovely Borthwick Church, we took advantage of the beautiful green backdrop behind the church to capture a few images of the newlyweds, before heading back to Dalkeith to join the guests in the colourful garden of Rachel’s parents. Bathed in warm, Scottish summer light and with awesome canapes provided by Wilde Thyme, the reception was buzzing with laughter and conversation.

The buzz continued as guests were seated in the beautifully decorated marquee (Planet Flowers having worked their signature magic with the table decorations) and treated to dinner and three very funny speeches, with anecdotes it will takes us a long time to forget (but that we couldn’t possibly divulge here!)

As the couple took to the dancefloor, accompanied by the brilliant The Capitals, they were watched and cheered along by the entire room, all of whom seemed intent on making it a night to remember, as they soon filled to floor to dance the night away.

We are really pleased that we have got to know such lovely people and loved being a part of this brilliant day. We wish Rachel and Tom a lifetime of love and happiness and look forward to showing them the rest of the photos when they return from honeymoon.
