A friend who has recently been bitten by the photography bug was asking me about which lens to buy with his new Canon SLR. I recommended he get a 50mm f1.4 lens, a small (relatively) cheap lens, which creates some wonderful images for its size and price.
This was the first fixed (non-zoom) lens I bought and though I don’t use it (much) these days, I still love the look of the photos it creates.
So I put it on my camera when I headed to the beach at the weekend to blow away some cobwebs…
