Natural newborn photography Edinburgh

If you think that babies sitting in carved-out pumpkins, miraculously propping up their own heads or balancing in hammocks is the cutest thing, then you’re in for a treat – there are plenty great photographers out there for you, who will create these images for you in a safe and fun way. But they are not me. I am not a Newborn Photographer

However, I love to photograph newborn humans in all their delicate, strong, miraculous being. I love to photograph them at home with their mummies and daddies, their siblings or dogs, their grandparents or simply just them, amazing as they are.

For me, photographing newborns isn’t about creating a picture-perfect moment—it’s about noticing the moments you might miss in the blur of new-parent life. It’s about the tiny yawn that stretches across a sleepy face, the way a parent’s hand instinctively cups a cheek, or the gentle chaos of a dog sniffing at a new little human. I want to capture the real, the unposed, the fleeting magic that exists in your everyday life. These images aren’t just for today—they’re for the years ahead, a quiet reminder of how small, yet how enormous, love can feel.
