We feel so lucky and privileged to be able to share so many happy days with so many lovely couples – being a wedding photographer must be one of the most rewarding jobs in the world. And when the couple is as fun, friendly and beautiful as Belita and Rich, it really couldn’t get much better!

On a day in the late Scottish summer, with several seasons competing to dominate the day, we set off to Berwickshire to Belita’s aunt and uncle’s house where the bride and her family, maids and flowergirls were getting ready.
Meanwhile Rich and his best men and ushers were lunching in Berwick-upon-Tweed before heading back north of the border to the beautiful Bonkyl church to welcome guests.
As Belita arrived in her striking Pronovia dress, accompanied by the dulcit tones of the L’inviti singers and her father gave her away (a moment he described as one of the happiest and proudest moments, later, in his speech), there was hardly a dry eye in the whole church.
After the service, we went off to take some photos of the couple while guests were welcomed at the house with champagne and canapes.
As the couple mingled with guests, the sun broke through the clouds and blessed the rest of the day and evening with warm sunlight.
Dinner in the marquee was a like a Midsummer Night’s Dream, with flowers in birdcages, roses in china teapots and beautiful calligraphy place names.
The speeches were both funny and poignant and Rich’s speech had us and all the guests laughing and crying with his funny and tender words.
As the couple got up to do their first dance, the dance floor soon filled up.
We left full of smiles and with the marvellous Corra playing, adding to an unforgettable day and night.
We loved capturing this perfect day for such a lovely couple. We wish Belita and Rich a long, happy and loving marriage and look forward to showing them the rest of the photos when they are back from honeymoon.
