With my son in Primary 1, this is the first year for me where I’m finding myself tied in to school holidays. It was also another first for us as we decided to rent a motorhome for the midterm and take the kids camping (well, campervanning) in February. In Scotland. In 0 degrees.
Having said that, with heating, toilet, kitchen, a shower and a television in the van, it’s pretty much like having a moving hotel room.
We all loved the freedom of parking up in beautiful spots and calling it home for a few hours. Next time, we may try it in the summer when it’s light and warm outside…
