So here are the long days, light, love, rapture!
Here is the spring! March, April with the gentle smile,
Flowery May, blazing June, all the beautiful months (are) friends!
The poplars, on the banks of sleeping rivers,
Are bending softly like great palms;
The bird quivers in the depths of warm and calm woods;
It feels as though everything laughs, and that the green trees
Are happy to be together, and say verses to each other.
The day is born crowned with a fresh and tender dawn,
The evening is full of love; at night, it feels as though one could hear,
Through the great shadow and under the blessed sky,
Something happy singing in the infinity.
-Printemps by Victor Hugo (translated by Catriona)
A perfectly chosen reading for Catriona and Alex’s wedding on a light, long and very happy day.

Planet Flowers had created a floral arch around the church door…

…and beautiful arrangements inside the church too.

We never get too old for a little display of sisterly love…

After being welcomed by the couple and their parents, guests were treated to a tour around the magnificent Bowhill.

The cake and the “cheese cake”.

The guests were all taken with these incredible floral arrangements in soft pale pinks, blush, champagne and cream shades.

Love the mismatched cocktail glasses used for the champagne toast!

The first speech of the evening was given by the bride.

If your father and godfather are both talented musicians, it would only be right for them to play a few songs before the ceilidh band is let loose!

Catriona and Alex, we hope you enjoy the rest of your honeymoon and look forward to sharing more photos with you on your return!
